Our Privacy Promise: We built Subs Manager because we're frustrated with companies that collect excessive data and monetize users. We practice what we preach—your privacy matters to us. We collect only what's necessary to provide our service, we never sell your data, and you're in full control.
1. Information We Collect
We believe in transparency. Here's exactly what we collect and why:
- Account Information: Email address and hashed password (we never store passwords in plain text)
- Subscription Data: Information about your subscriptions that you choose to record (service names, costs, renewal dates)
- That's It. We don't collect browsing history, device information, location data, or any other unnecessary information
Privacy Tip: Want even more privacy? You can use privacy-focused email services like privacy@duck.com, ProtonMail, or FastMail. We don't require your "real" email—just one you can access.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide and improve our service:
- Provide access to your subscription tracking dashboard
- Send renewal reminders (if you enable them)
- Respond to your support requests
- Improve the application based on usage patterns
We do NOT:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Show you ads based on your data
- Share your information with marketing companies
- Track you across the web
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information. Period.
The only exceptions:
- With your explicit consent
- To comply with legal obligations (court orders, etc.)
- To protect our rights or the safety of others
4. Data Security
Your data is stored securely in Australia using Neon (serverless PostgreSQL) with industry-standard encryption:
- All passwords are hashed using bcrypt (never stored in plain text)
- Database connections use TLS encryption
- Regular security audits and updates
- Minimal data retention—we only keep what's necessary
5. Third-Party Services
We use carefully selected third-party services that share our privacy values:
- Stack Auth: For authentication (OAuth via Google, Apple)
- Neon: For secure database hosting in Australia
- Resend: For transactional emails (support, password resets)
These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them as well.
6. OAuth Authentication
When you sign in with Google or Apple:
- We only request your email address (nothing else)
- We don't access your contacts, calendar, or other data
- You can revoke access anytime through your Google/Apple account settings
7. Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by:
- Using the "Delete Account" option in Settings
- Contacting us at support@app24.au
Upon deletion, we permanently remove your data within 30 days.
8. Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Access: View all your personal information anytime
- Correct: Update inaccurate information through your profile
- Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export: Download all your subscription data
- Withdraw Consent: Revoke OAuth permissions anytime
9. Cookies and Tracking
We use only essential cookies to maintain your login session. That's it.
- No advertising cookies
- No third-party tracking pixels
- No analytics that track individual users
The only cookies we use are strictly necessary for authentication. Disabling these will prevent you from logging in.
10. Children's Privacy
Subs Manager is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
11. International Users
Your data is stored in Australia. If you're accessing Subs Manager from outside Australia, your information will be transferred to and stored in Australia.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Posting the new policy on this page
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
- Sending you an email notification for significant changes
